In the first quarter of 2021, the Latin American market saw interesting trends among the top music and podcasts applications on the Android platform. Sensor Tower's data gives us an insightful look into the performance of these popular apps.

Spotify: Music and Podcasts maintained a strong presence, with downloads starting at 647K in the last week of December 2020 and peaking at 814K in the third week of March 2021. While downloads fluctuated, the trend showed an overall increase in the quarter. Weekly active users saw a slight decrease from 71M at the end of December to 70M by the end of March.

The Music Player & MP3: Lark Player experienced a decline in downloads, starting at 674K and dipping to 583K by the end of March. However, weekly active users increased from 17M to 19M, which suggests a growing user base despite fewer downloads. Revenue for Lark Player varied, with a high of 193 USD in the last week of December and a low of 100 USD in the last week of March.

YouTube Music downloads saw a gradual decline over the quarter, from 571K to 404K. In contrast, weekly active users grew from 36M to 40M, indicating that the app's existing user base remained engaged.
